Maria May decided to work in music at a very young age watching all of the amazing artists who rolled through Wembley Arena and Stadium in the 1980’s where her Father was a Security Manager Deciding against University, she began her career as a bookings manager in a recording studio whilst hanging out with a big rave collective. Next came a job with The Levellers, the hugely successful UK touring band.. 1995 May joined International Talent Booking and stayed there for 17 years.

It was here she specialised in Electronic artists and Dj’s. As one of the first female Agents at a major agency representing some of the early innovators and ground breaking artists and superstars who shaped the scene into what it is today. It was a very special and unique time in the evolution of the live electronic business. Developing her craft working on artists like David Guetta, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Paul Oakenfold , Soulwax / 2manydjs, Roisin Murphy , Hercules and Love Affair, Azari and III to name but a few It's little surprise then that May was tapped by CAA in 2012 to lead the high-powered Hollywood talent titan's expansion into dance music.

May and her expanding global team have developed the division into a crucial player with a roster including Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Roisin Murphy , Robin Schulz , Hernan Cattaneo, Lee Burridge, Mashrou' Leila, Paul Kalkbrenner, Meduza, Marshall Jefferson , Roger Sanchez, Jonas Blue, Alle Farben, The Chainsmokers, Nicky Romero , Oliver Heldens, Pretty Lights, Griz, Hayden James  and emerging artists like Alok, Mambo Brothers, Hugel, M22  and DJ Regard. May sits on the Advisory Board of AFEM, a trade body representing the interests of the electronic community and has actively campaigned for many years for women and diversity in our industry. She is currently involved with campaigns supporting the NTIA to get the UK government to offer more support to the live music / night time industry’s sector. Maria is a proud Mother of two teenagers and is also currently studying a Law Degree.
