Keeping everyone safe...
To reduce the risk to you and everyone else attending the event, we are asking all attendees and staff to prove their Covid-19 negative status before they access the venue. An NHS text or email confirming you have registered a negative Lateral Flow Test will be requested before entry.
We ask that anyone who is displaying symptoms of Covid-19, has been asked to self-isolate or lives with someone who has Covid-19 symptoms DOES NOT attend* the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2021.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO (ALL ATTENDEES)
The organisers of the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2021 will be implementing COVID-19 status checks at entry points to the building. Please be prepared to show proof that you have registered a negative Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours prior to arrival by following the steps below:
- Your negative Lateral Flow Test will need to be taken within 48 hours of the event doors opening (meaning between 12pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 and 12pm on Friday, October 22, 2021)
- All tests will be self-administered and free of charge. You can order your Lateral Flow Test for home delivery at: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
Please note it may take a few days for the tests to arrive, so we recommend ordering the tests at least a week in advance. Or you can collect a test pack from a test collection point near you. Find where to get a Lateral Flow Test here: https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk
- Your Lateral Flow Test result needs to be uploaded using the NHS Public Reporting Tool at: www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
When this is completed you will be sent a text and/ or email from the NHS confirming your test date and result. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US ON THE DOOR
- You must show proof of your negative test result by presenting the NHS text or email on your mobile device to one of the Covid-19 stewards in order to enter the venue. Only original copies of the email or text will be accepted, other forms of documentation such as photos of test results will not be deemed valid.
Make sure you're free from symptoms
If you or someone in your household has any of the advised COVID-19 symptoms please do not attend the venue and follow Government guidelines.
Use hand sanitiser frequently
Hand sanitiser stations will be widely distributed throughout the venue and on all Awards tables.
Keep an eye out for signage
We will ask that visitors pay attention to venue guidance and directional signage.
Face coverings will not be a requirement at the event, however, if you will feel more comfortable they are very welcome.
*Please note that we have a no cancellation policy and we do not provide refunds if guests are no longer able to attend the event. If you are unable to attend due to testing positive for Covid, or you are self-isolating then you may nominate an alternative person from your organisation to attend in your place. All substitutions must be received in writing to Kate Smith (email@example.com) up to 12 hours before the event.
When can I take my Lateral Flow Test for the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2021?
You can take a Lateral Flow Test from 12pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 - tests taken before this time will not be valid for entry.
What should attendees do if they have a positive test?
A positive result from a Lateral Flow Test means that it’s likely that you had COVID-19 when the test was done. Attendees and anyone they live with must not attend the event and self-isolate immediately. You are advised to get a home PCR test to confirm their result as soon as possible.
What if I don’t have a smartphone to display my proof of a negative test result on?
Your negative Lateral Flow Test can be emailed to your email address and printed off as a pdf and you can bring the printed copy with you to the event. This is the only form of documentation other than the NHS text or email presented on your mobile device that will be accepted.
I am double vaccinated, can I bring my vaccination card to access the event?
Vaccination cards will not be accepted. Guests must provide proof of a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours of the event and supply a text or email from the NHS confirming your test date and result.
What happens if someone doesn’t show a negative Lateral Flow Test text/ email at the door?
They will be denied entry. An NHS text or email confirming you have registered a negative Lateral Flow Test will be required to enter the 2021 Music Week Women In Music Awards.
